Two or three times a week I leave my car at home and take the subway to University. It is not a habit but a conscious act that allows me to break free and mingle into the crowd – even though being a foreigner in the countryside Japan does not allow one to really observe [...]

From Believer to Skeptic – Apples and IBMs
I believe it was the end of the 70’s and the beginning of the 80’s. Things were changing fast and in the fast lane was personal computing.
At the age of five I had my very first contact with a computer, or at least what people believed to be a computer at that time. It was [...]
Adobe After Effects CS3
Listing and Printing Directories/Subdirectories in OSX (Unix)
Problems are meant to be solved. That is for sure. For instance, I had to create a list of directories and subdirectories to print on OSX. I own a iMac24″ and I was excited about using iMovie8 new real-time on-the-fly editing capabilities to create some new and exciting HDV projects, specially after being very happy working with its previous version, the iMovieHD.
iMovie8 - Beautiful but lame
Unfortunately all [...]

Timeless tailoring meets the latest innovations in fabric technology with our new iPod suit. A strategically placed iPod pocket houses the connector and prevents bulges, while control buttons on the inner lapel allow the wearer to operate the iPod without touching the main controls. Carefully placed loops [...]
Wii Remote and Apple iMac
I have found, just out of curiosity, that the Wii remote is discoverable and compatible with OSX. All you will need is a Wii Remote and a Mac computer running OSX with bluetooth support.
First you will need to set your Wii remote to discoverable mode by simultaneously pushing buttons 1 and 2. On your [...]

Windows Vista Review: “a shameless Mac OS X imitator”
This is what Julio Ojeda-Zapata wrote as bottom line for his Windows Vista Review at the Pioneer Press:
“Get a Mac with OS X unless your home-computer needs are Windows-specific, or if the fine Media Center is a must for you. You likely won’t regret a Vista-PC purchase, but I’m betting you’ll enjoy a Mac much [...]
